Facts About the Dominican Republic

I think it is important that we know at least some basic facts about countries that are closest to. We are only 700-800 miles from the great country of the Dominican Republic. This is to the tip of Florida. This is less than one third the distance from New York City to Los Angeles. You can learn a lot about the Dominican Republic by going to this site: http://www.dominicanrepublic411.com/.

The Dominican Republic is about the same size, land area wise, as the state of Mississippi. It is bordered on 3 sides but 2 major bodies of water. On the north side, it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. On the east side, the Atlantic Ocean runs into the Caribbean Sea. On the south side, it is bordered by the Caribbean Sea. On the west side of the Dominican Republic there is a border with Haiti. Both the Dominican Republic and Haiti occupy the Hispaniola Island.
